ABOUT YWM
The Young Widows Might Foundation {YWMF} is a Non-Profit Organization that is aimed at supporting and empowering young widows between the ages 23 – 48 years. Registered in 2016
OUR VISION
To create a place of solace for every widow that comes in contact with us.
What we do?
The population of widows is steadily increasing because of the recent security and social challenges, leaving these women to cater for themselves and their families alone. Our objective is to help young widows glide through widowhood journey with much hope by encouraging them through stories of those who had similar challenges like them and are presently doing well.
The Young Widows Might Foundation is unique because we don’t only work with numbers but we build relationships with our widows and empower them with skills that would make them financially stable to support their own families.

Our Programs
Since 2018, YWMF organizes a “Back to School” initiative for the fatherless every September. We support our widows with stationaries (Exercise books, pencils, biros, mathematical sets) School Bags, Lunch Bags, Cash Gifts e.t.c for their wards.
A child is randomly selected and part of his/her school fees is paid.
Every December we organized Charity Outing events for widows where we empower them with a new skill towards the coming year and also provide them with food stuffs and some clothing.
To mark the International Widows Day, we organize empowerment programs for widows to equip them with alternative source of livelihood.
So far we have impacted over 200 widows around Lagos State, Nigeria
We also partner with other Foundations that are targeted towards widows and children.
